Volunteering

The Truman State University Chapter of Habitat for Humanity works with the Kirksville Habitat for Humanity Chapter to build and refurbish houses for families in need around the community. The Truman Chapter is primarily concerned with increasing awareness about the needs of many communities, raising money, and providing an abundance of free labor at the building projects.

We are currently working on a build at the corner of West Patterson and Baird, which we hope to finish within the next few months. There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved with any of our fundraisers or awareness campaigns. Email us at tsu.habitat@gmail.com, or come to one of our meetings to find out how you can help! Check the meetings page to see the schedule or contact one of the executive board members.

We also have great opportunities to help others around the country!  Every spring break, we take a trip to another work site to help build.  Over the past several years, we have traveled to Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, and Louisiana.  Our spring break trip is a great experience during which we dedicate our time to helping others and have fun doing so!

We can’t wait to see you at our next meeting!
